About the Cooperative
Casa Carey R.L.

The Casa Carey Cooperative was born due to the union between Patrollers, women weavers, and community members. We have been carrying out conservation actions in the Estero Padre Ramos nature reserve in previous years with the support of the NGO Fauna & Flora. We decided to organize ourselves as a cooperative to continue conserving in an organized way and promote a livelihood that allows us to improve our quality of life.

The Casa Carey cooperative conserves and protects the hawksbill turtle and its ecosystem, developing partnerships with the community, generating income for members, and improving the local economy.

Our Vision

Casa Carey is recognized as a conservation organization at the departmental level and promotes sustainable tourism in the marine ecosystem.
